This adorable husky came in as a stray-he is super social and loves people!!! He doe snot however, care for the company of other animals. He wants his new family all to himself-can you blame him?!?! Juneau is about 2 years old and is mostly healthy, but he does have dry eye, so we will need prescribed eye ointment the rest of his life, which will have to be applied every day! He also recently had two seizures, which the vet thinks is due to excitability. Please give this sweet boy a second chance...
I am a special needs dog because I need a special kind of owner. I need an experienced dog owner who has preferably owned huskies. I am stubborn and independent meaning I get upset when people make me do things I dont want to do. I am also vocal and love to go on walks. Exercise is very important to me so I need an owner who likes to go on walks and has a lot of space for me to play. I am house broken, but I do lift my leg on things, which probably means I lived mostly outside at my previous home and hopefully getting neutered will help this behavior. I am very unhappy here at the shelter. I came to the shelter as a stray so I do like to get away which means proper fencing or a line would be needed in order to keep me from running away. I am very smart and for a treat I will sit, shake, and lay down. I like other dogs, but cats are generally not good for huskies to be around. I would be a great pet for someone experienced with my breed and with patience, love, and proper training I know I would blossom.
Joker is a three-year-old neutered Siberian Husky mix. He's been at the shelter since January 12th after being found as a stray. Joker is a very sweet boy, but he needs a dedicated owner who can give him lots of exercise and some obedience work on leash. He loves to run and play, so he may be too much for some younger children. He is good with other dogs and seems to be tolerant of cats as well. Call the shelter today and ask about Joker!

This dog is a Samoyed/Husky mix with bright blue eyes. He is about 2 years old and is not yet neutered. He was found running free and brought to the shelter by animal control; his owner has not claimed him. He is very active and also has not been well-trained, so any potential owner for this beautiful boy would need to have much patience and time to spend with him. If you are interested please call the shelter and ask to speak to Karen.

Meet Robin (Hood)! He is a well-mannered, gentle, 15 month old Husky who was kept outdoors all his life, until a Good Samaritan rescued him and brought him to us. Robin weighs about 75 lbs. He is not as aloof as some Huskies but he does have the instinct to roam, so he must be adopted by people who know the breed. Please contact Leslie, our volunteer adoption coordinator, at 201- 981-3215 or email her at crysros1@aol.com or come visit us at the shelter. All pets are spayed or neutered before leaving the shelter.
